Welcome to dave.caretcake — free/open-source software, music, and writing.

This site is grouped into three main areas with mostly similar topics...but sometimes I digress. The writing section has short articles on (for the most part) a variety of software-development related topics. The software section is made up of tools and chunks of code for other developers along with some experimental, unpolished, or otherwise random programs. And, the music section has songs that I've either written or collaborated on with friends. All of the content on this site is created and offered in the spirit of free and open sharing.
