hmscalculate:Beta Registration
HMSCalculate is an hour/minute/second calculator for the desktop it is not officially sanctioned by the Royal Navy. (Although when it's done, they should feel free to use it if they want.) Development on HMSCacluate continues (currently at version 0.8.5), but some major milestones have recently been passed with more right around the corner. At this stage, HMSCalculate is fully functioning in its alpha release version. This means that all major program logic has been written, internally tested, and thought to be bug-free. The final milsetone before the public 0.9.0 beta release is to convert the calculator's user interface into something that looks more like the image below. Once that's done, HMSCalculate will be compiled and packaged for Linux, Mac, and Windows desktops and shipped out to the beta testers. (If you read this page before, you may remember that I didn't expect to have a native Mac version of HMSCalculate, but now I do!) I don't have an exact timeframe in mind right now for how long beta testing will continue, but it's not that complex of a program, and I don't think there are any major bugs, so the 1.0 public stable release may be just a month or so away. If you'd like to be considered for beta testing, just fill out the small form here. Otherwise, please feel free to check out the sample screenshot below and look for more updates in the near future. ![]() |
